Diary Post 4

I had to make a last minute casting change due to conflicting schedules, so now my female protagonist is to be played by Jazzmin Berry instead of Natalya Micic. This will not cause any issues as they are the same age and gender, so will still engage my target audience. I will be filming this weekend in my house and editing the footage on Monday. I will purchase the props, e.g. makeup, tomorrow and practice embedding the intertitles.

Costume

The actress will be wearing pyjamas for the first twenty seconds or so of my opening two minutes, as she is getting out of bed, but I will not focus on them. She will change into a skater skirt and tights, a jumper and Doc Martens, which is a modern and fashionable outfit for teenage girls and will appeal to my target audience. The DMs will have a sticker on the bottom that reads some of the embedded credits, which will be visible when she is putting the shoes on.

Location Resarch

The location of my film will be in my room, which is convenient in case I need to reshoot any scenes as I will not need permission to film there. Also, as I will be at home, I will have easy access to a computer in order to view my filming on it, as the handheld camera I will be using has a small screen that, during playback, I would not be able to detect shaky footage on. I will also film part of the two minutes in my bathroom, as the majority of my opening is the morning routine of a teenage girl, which introduces the main character.
